What should I do if I encounter problems after installation/receiving my order? In this unlikely scenario please get in touch with us asap so we can sort any problems.
-
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?A quote is our final offer and it’s a commitment on our side. We will finish the project for that price, even if it takes longer than anticipated or needs more materials. Unless you make changes after accepting a quote, the price WILL NOT change. An estimate is only there to give you an idea how much your project will roughly cost but can still change when we agree on the specifics. Most of the time an estimate is followed by a quote to agree on a final number.
-
Are there any seasonal discounts, can you do it cheaper? As a local, small, family run business we cannot offer discounts. However, we don’t inflate our prices just to seem like we've given you a discount. We always use the same method for putting prices together for everyone and if you have received a quote, we can guarantee that is the final amount and this will only vary if your requirements change.
-
I was given a cheaper quote by someone else, can you match their price? This means you’ve done what you should have and got a few quotes to compare. We do not match other companies’ prices. We know that price is not the most important thing in woodworking and tradesmen in general and although we're not the cheapest around we pride ourselves in providing exceptional service. We are always there if you have a question, we are polite and we clean up after ourselves. We can guarantee all jobs are finished to the highest standard and we will not leave the jobsite in the middle of a process just because it’s 4pm and it’s time to go home.
-
How long does it take until I receive my orders? Most of our bespoke products have 6-12 weeks lead time, depending on how busy we are. However, please note that no works will start until the deposit invoice (usually 50%) is paid.
-
Why do you require a 50% deposit?Deposits are in place to ensure both parties are committed. By paying the deposit you agree to our terms and conditions. It helps us to have a healthy cashflow in our business. The deposit allows us to order all the needed materials and hardware for your project without being out of pocket. Please remember, we are a small, family run business and not a big company.
-
Are wooden windows/doors long lasting?Yes. With proper maintenance and care, timber windows and doors can last you for decades. Wooden windows can actually last a lot longer than uPVC ones!
-
Are wooden windows/doors expensive?Compared to uPVC windows and doors, yes they are naturally more expensive. All our wooden products are bespokely made, from scratch in our workshop, involving hours and hours of exceptional craftmanship.
-
How do I clean or care for my wooden products? This will depend on the final treatment/finishing of the product. We will give you advise regarding this at the time of fitting, but please feel free to reach out with any questions even at a later date.
